Colette Burson is, well, HUNG!
HBO picks up Season 2!
POWER UP grantee Colette Burson (director of LITTLE BLACK BOOT starring Jane Lynch and Dania Ramirez) is now at the helm of HUNG, a series she co-created, wrote and successfully pitched with partner Dmitry Lipkin to HBO.
Starring Anne Heche and Thomas Jane, Hung is being billed as a cleverly written, dark comedy revolving around a high-school-jock turned aging basketball coach who is not only well endowed, but entrepreneurial enough to figure out how to use his best asset to further his professional and financial goals. Hung has the distinction of being the first project picked up for development by (then) new HBO Entertainment President, Sue Naegle. According to Burson, HBO is the perfect home for HUNG, saying, "It does feel like HBO has been invigorated as a place to go for creative talent." Given the industry and Internet buzz already surrounding HUNG, it's quite possible Colette Burson is well on her way to proving size really does matter.
