Steve Tyler’s award-winning acting career spans two decades and two coasts. He has appeared from page to stage, billboards and screens large and small. A familiar face, Mr. Tyler has done over 30 films and television shows, and 200 commercials and was the KOOL Cigarette Man in billboards and magazines worldwide.

Perhaps best known in film for the playing the “straight man” in Farrelly Brother movies “KINGPIN”, “ME, MYSELF & IRENE”, “SOMETHING ABOUT MARY”, “SHALLOW HAL” and “STUCK ON YOU”. Other films include “JOURNEY OF JARED PRICE” written and directed by Academy Award winner Dustin Lance Black, “RIVER MADE TO DROWN IN” and “BOYS LIFE 3”.

Television appearances include current recurring Guest Star as the Minister of Fairview on “DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES”, Gino on “DAYS of OUR LIVES”, and co-host on P.M. Magazine.

Steve Tyler also has over 40 theatrical productions to his credit including World Premiers “FIRST COUPLE,” Tiffany Theatre, “THE CAT’S MEOW” Coast Playhouse, “RUBICON” Matrix Theater, and “SELF HELP” Highways Theater. Tyler is Co-founder of Playwrights’ Arena, a non-profit theater dedicated to discovering, developing and producing original plays by Los Angeles playwrights. His productions have garnered him a number of honors, including six Drama-Logue awards and two NAACP Image awards.

He lives in Los Angeles where he is active politically and in many GLBTQ and youth causes. Governor appointed former board member to the California Council of Humanities, Victory Fund, A.N.G.L.E., and GLASS. He’s created and produced 100+ fundraisers including ALL STAR VALLEY OF THE DOLLS, Ellen DeGeneres IN CONCERT, FLOWERS FOOD & ART, ELLEN DEGENERES Show and Dinner with Bill Clinton.
